Honey, I'm Home!

You guys have no idea how much I’ve missed you.

In all the midst of my world exploding, reconvening, and wrestling its details back into their appropriate boxes, I’ve often wished I could whizz by and catch up with your collective awesomeness. And I don’t just say this to suck up. It’s been three years since I last moved house, which may not seem like a long time to you, but it’s the current record for my permanence in an area. I’d forgotten how stressful the whole experience was. Not in the least because it freaks my mother out, and that is truly something that makes me nervous.

On the other hand, my new room is awesome. Not in the least because it actually has room for me to put everything without losing my floor space entirely.

And it has an inexplicable sink.

My favourite feature of this new lair is my arrangement of my bookcase. I got it about three months back, but as I used it mainly as the overflow zone for the books that had long since overwhelmed the tiny pink confection that used to house my literary collection. Now, however, I have allowed myself to indulge in the nerdy passion of ordering them. Not in a big way – I just put the series’ (serieses? serieii?) back in order and shunted the books that come from the same range of classical literature into the same place so that I can keep an eye on them.

Wuthering Heights has been giving me odd looks since my botched attempts at death-by-teatowel.

And here I am . . . new house, new neighbourhood, unfortunately no newfound talent at speaking German (so fear not, my friends, there will be no posts in German. Yet).

Meanwhile, my last year in formal education is fast approaching and it looks to be a busy one. I may explain about that later, I may not. I’m not certain it’s all that extraordinary.

Besides, I have so many more interesting things to post about. More book reviews, more Writerly Tips, more general blitherings on writing and / or / possibly including life in general.

And, of course, your suggestions! If you feel there is anything my blog lacks, then I will shift heaven, earth, and maybe the occasional hedgehog to see if I can amend it. Because you guys are what I do this for.

Did I mention that I missed you?

  3. The plural of series is series, I believe. I do the same - each of my shelves is alphabetical, but it starts again from 'a' on each shelf as I have to also order them according to height, since all my shelves are different sizes :D

    Finally you're back :D

    1. Hehehe, mine are nowhere near alphabetical - I just stick the series together and am content with that. Anything more complex and I'd run out of shelf room. I have to be pretty inginuitive as it is xD

    2. Ours are colour-coded. I know. They did it while I was at school one day. Each self holds a different colour. Now I say, "So Cait, which shelf is_____ on?" And she says, "What colour is it's binding?"

    3. Lawl, that's so awesome! Unfortunately I lack the patience to do anything like that :P

  4. I tend to try and stick seris together or authors together.. but often that's the same thing - if I don't have to worry about height...

    Anyway, you know what's coming

    *TACKLE HUG*

    1. Then move a hedgehog I shall! *picks one up and deposits it over the hedge* Hehehe :)

LOL, I actually did the conventional thing and started doing my daily washing rituals in it - our tiny bathroom at home is too small for anything else xD
