Too Tired to Function . . . Among Other Things

I honestly think that, had this weekend not arrived when it did, my arc-reactor would have exploded in my chest due to overload of stress and sleeplessness. Though I do like to think my remains might have made a rather artistic splatter over the wall.

I am verging on being too tired to function as we speak. And I've only been awake since 9:45.

Nevertheless, I am feeling accomplished: all but one last element of my university application profile is up and ready to go, I'm hunting down the last bits of work from my friends to finalise the project component of our evil Duke of Edinburgh expedition (which means that, sometime in the future, I will get to go up and shake the hand of some royal person and feel mightily proud of myself).

I've also survived homework, prefectorial duties, parent-teacher meetings, some exceedingly dry lectures, and got a hi-five from a four-time Olympic champion.

I'm doing pretty well, by my own reckoning.

I'm really sorry about the general pointlessness of this post - I did tell myself I'd write something impressive in advance, and just set it up to be pre-scheduled for today, but everthing else got in the way and I never had the chance.

My regular posts will resume on Monday, including some new Writerly Tips, book reviews, and goodness knows what else!

For now, however, please enjoy the consolatory piece of musical awesomeness.

  1. The high-five sounded pretty awesome! And my blog is filled with pointless posts (I just give them snappy names and con everyone into believing they actually make sense). :)

PS Your guest post is set to go up on thursday on our blog. Thanks again! :D

    1. Hehe, oh it was. I started a trend of people coming up to ask for photos, but I alone asked for a hi-five. Because I'm just that awesome.

Wahey! Looking forward to all your other posts between now and then too! :)

  2. Do not die, my dear. I am rather to far away to come and replace your arc reaktor while you lie helpless on the floor.

    1. Don't worry - I've mostly fixed it now. It's still making funny noises and squeaking at me on occasion, but it should be okay until I can get hold of Pepper to come give it a proper fix for me.

    1. The eloquence of that reaction is marvellous, as well as perfectly apt ;)
