The reason, for once, is not my own crippling laziness. It is, in fact, the work of the school internet and its dislike of certain blogging platforms. To illustrate: in order to check up on the posts of those I do follow on Wordpress, I have to first go to a Blogger blog, bypass the filter for Blogger, then go to another blog to bypass for the forums and blogs category, and then I follow the link to the Wordpress blog . . . and have to bypass another block in order to view it in its correct format, because otherwise everything from titles to sidebar graphics is put through the mother of all blenders.
So, no fear, I'll not be departing from the shores of Blogger any time soon. Come again in the summer, when I will probably be found wandering the skyline in fits of existential wonder, and I may give it a think again.
In other news, St Mallory's Forever! continues to make progress! And that's where you come in.
Would any of you be willing to spare a guest post for Miriam and I to pop by? We're not just there for promotional purposes, of course - we're pretty flexible with what we'll write about, either collaboratively or on our own - but with publication drawing ever nearer, we'd love a chance to reach out and say to people "Look, we wrote a book!"
I like to think we might even be vaguely inspiring, and most probably rather entertaining. So, do let me know if you'd be willing to open up a slot for us to come and spread our ecstatic fits of book-fuelled bouncing!
One last thing before I go - I really, really, want to show you this. It's the pinnacle of my Maths-based achievement. It's also an exhibit of some of my finest scary laughter.

If you'd like I'd love for you to do a guest post! :)
ReplyDeleteeklobb.blogspot.co.uk
Eeeeee, thank you!
DeleteWhat sort in particular, if any?
Anything really - I'm sure some of my followers will be awe-struck that you're getting a novel published so you could talk about the process of writing it and that'd give you a chance to work in some skilful advertising. Or, if you're more geared to writing for novellists, you could talk about co-writing? Maybe? Email me at emmilobb@gmail.com if you'd like, or leave a comment on my blog, eklobb.blogspot.co.uk :)
DeleteMiriam asked for promo-guest-posts via facebook and mime and me said, "Yes, please!" We'd love to have you guys talk about your book on our blog! :) Could we interview you? Or anything. Whatever you'd want!
ReplyDeleteThere are few things better then being able to say, "Look! We wrote a book!" ;)
You could do whatever you like - we'll do interview, combined post, individual post, whatever you like!
DeleteRighto! Email me, then, whenever the fancy hits you. ;)
DeletePS Combined interview would be cool.
The best part, I think, was where you said "That's brilliant." I love the English.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you have to jump through so many hoops to see my blog... Is there anything I can do that won't involve slavery for life?
Not really - I'll be escaping these difficulties come the summer, and it's fairly easy to read and comment. Posting to the St Mallory's blog was such a pain, though, so I dread to think of the effect on my sanity if I had to do it regularly, haha!
DeleteYou BURNT your maths books?! I have a new thing to add to my bucket list!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was awesome. You should do it, if you can.
DeleteYou are MOST welcome to do a guest post! I'd love it! Just send me an email! I'd love for you to do this Tuesday's one! We can talk about details in the email. :D
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad you're not switching to wordpress. I like blogger better. ;)
Yay! I shall email you as soon as I can! :D
DeleteHey Charley! First, congrats on your moment of vaguely pyromaniacal (is that even a word?) triumph. I'd venture to say you quite enjoyed yourself there. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd as for guest posts and interviews, I'd be happy to have you pop in at Perfectly Sensible Nonsense to spread the word about your impending release! (Teen authors unite! :D)
You could do a guest post or interview, either works (and like Cait said, combined interview and/or guest post might be cool :). Shoot me an email at taylor.cope96@yahoo.com and we can work something out!
Aheheh, oh I had a fantastic time, thank you!
DeleteYAY! I'll email you and we'll see what we can bash out :)
NOO( not the Maths and Chemsitry! I could have given them a Lovely home... you know like I do for certain bruised characters.... *grins*
ReplyDeleteThese are evil and foul. Besides, they're only the exercise books, so there was no actual theory in there or anything . . . just my failed attempts at executing them xD
DeleteWell... Okay then, if it's your own hard work you're burning.. :}
DeleteDid you know my daughter is doing word problems already? O.o
. . . She's quick. Far quicker than I ever was xD
DeleteTHAT IS SO AWESOME CHARLEY WE NEED TO MEET SOMEDAY. I would love to burn my math and science books... unfortunately I can't because my mom used to teach those subjects and the ones I use are from her "collection". xD
ReplyDeleteWell if Charely ever gets to the states - you can all use my house for a roundavou point... just cause *grins* (I was raised in an open arms type family, but no one ever takes me up on my offers QQ) :}
Delete@Cathryn Leigh: The question is, would you provide the books to be burnt? ;)
ReplyDeleteHm... I'm sort of partial to my science books... but since I really Haven't looked at them in years....
DeleteMaybe. *grins*
Or maybe we can go find some at a used books store for cheep, he he he :}
